Prosecutors have charged a man with first-degree murder in connection with a fatal shooting in north Boulder.
The Daily Camera reports Cody Frank Nelson, 51, appeared in court Thursday for the Feb. 5 death of 31-year-old Andrew Duncan. Nelson's co-defendant, Miriam Nayeh, 31, has been charged with being an accessory to murder.
Investigators say Nelson told them he shot Duncan because he assaulted Nayeh and dragged her out of a trailer. Meanwhile, Nayeh said Duncan was abusive toward her and that she was pregnant with his child.
Nelson is being held without bail, and Nayeh is being held on $100,000 bail.
Defense attorney Nancy Salomone did not respond to a phone message seeking comment Thursday night.
