A raccoon is back in the wild after an encounter with a glass jar in a Dumpster went bad.
Someone called Boulder Police Monday morning and said they spotted a raccoon with a glass jar on its head in a Dumpster in the 2500 block of Pine.
Boulder Police said when animal control arrived, the raccoon had broken off the majority of the jar, but the raccoon had a ring of jagged glass around its neck.
Animal Control captured the raccoon, tranquilized it, used bolt cutters to remove the glass and cleaned the raccoon's wounds, according to Boulder Police.
After keeping an eye on the raccoon for the day, Animal Control released the raccoon Monday night.
