Dog named Minnie rescued from Boulder condo fire

BOULDER, Colo. - A dog named Minnie was rescued from a condo fire in Boulder Monday afternoon.

The fire in a condo at 47th Street and Jay Road was reported after 3 p.m. When AIRTRACKER7 flew overhead about an hour later, flames were no longer visible.

Firefighters had cut holes in the building's roof to allow smoke to ventilate. Fire damage was visible to a porch, doorway and second floor unit.

Fire investigators are trying to determine the cause of the fire.

Boulder Police spokeswoman Kim Kobel shared the photograph of Minnie the dog handed to her owner by a firefighter who was still wearing his gas mask and had debris from the condo on his uniform.
