BOULDER - Five homes and six cars were flooded when a water main broke in Boulder and spilled more 1 million gallons into area homes and cars.
In Tyler D'Ovido's apartment, water rose almost as high as the top of the cushions of his couch.
"We basically climbed out this window," he said pointing. "I couldn't even open this door, so we climbed out our bathroom window."
For property owner Kent Kaitz, the flood was another punch in the gut.
"(We) just went through this back in September, so it's a repeat. We've already had a test once already," he said.
