AURORA, Colo. - Surveillance cameras catch five men robbing a man at gunpoint at the Nine Mile light rail station on Parker Road.
The video captured the robbery at the Aurora light rail station at 5:41 a.m. last Friday.
A man in an elevator area is approached by at least three of the suspects. One man, wearing a green shirt, points what appears to be a black handgun at the victim's head.
The three suspects can be seen trying to take the man's bag and empty his pockets. A fourth suspect is seen with a cellphone in his hand as he watches.
"They did take from the victim, a phone, a small black bag and some cash," said Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office Bureau Chief Vince Line. "There is a significant number of subjects involved and the fact that they're armed with what appears to be a handgun, both of those are equally concerning."
Despite having a gun pointed at him, the victim resists giving up his belongings.
"When faced with a situation like this, you kind of do what you're instinctually taught to do," said Line.
Investigators did not know if the suspects were casing the area for a victim.
Surveillance cameras also captured video of the suspected getaway vehicle.
Investigators describe it as a green-colored Dodge Ram pickup with an extended cab and camper shell. It also has silver and gray along the bottom and the hood. Investigators say the top of truck appears to have some oxidation.
If you know any of the suspects or the vehicle, call the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office or Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867).
