AURORA, Colo. - Aurora police have publicly identified the teenager who was shot and killed in the parking lot of a Taco Bell last week.
Police said the victim, 19-year-old Mark Chalfant, was in some sort of altercation with three men in the parking lot of the Taco Bell at 3554 South Tower Road, near East Hampden Avenue, around midnight on June 4.
"At some point during the altercation shots were fired, which struck the victim," police said.
The three men ran off, leaving Chalfant lying in the parking lot.
Emergency workers took Chalfant to the hospital, but he did not survive.
Police say they only have a limited description of the suspects. Witnesses said the three were white men in their late teens to early 20s and all were wearing light-colored shorts. Two were seen wearing dark colored T-shirts and the other was possibly wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with white writing on the front.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $2,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for this shooting.
