AURORA, Colo. - The woman hit and killed Sunday night in Aurora was a 29-year-old, police announced Tuesday.
Officers were called to Kenton Street and East 4th Way at 10:19 p.m. When they arrived, they found Melissa Robideaux lying in the street. She had apparently been hit by a vehicle.
Robideaux was taken to the hospital, but did not survive.
Aurora Police Sergeant Christopher Carleton identified Robideaux Tuesday.
Reggie Booker lives near the intersection where the woman was hit. Booker said he arrived home after the crash and found the victim barely breathing.
"It's real sad. (I) tried to comfort her," said Booker.
Officers said they are searching for any witnesses to the crash. So far no one has come forward.
"I hope they catch the person that did this, I really do," neighbor Jackie Taylor told 7NEWS.
