AURORA, Colo. - Two Aurora Dairy Queens were robbed by armed men on Monday night.

The first robbery happened at the Dairy Queen at 3140 S. Parker Road, police said. The second Dairy Queen was robbed at 2197 S. Chambers Road.

Police radio traffic said two black men, one armed with a silver handgun, robbed both ice cream shops.

7NEWS photojournalist James Dougherty said police at the Chambers Road location confirmed that two armed men had robbed the shop.

Inside that Dairy Queen, an officer was interviewing Dairy Queen employees, while an officer with a flashlight searched the parking lot for possible evidence, Dougherty reported.
