AURORA, Colo. -- A special ceremony will be held for the 15th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks this Saturday in Aurora.
"At noon, an Aurora Fire Department Bell will toll to mark the first attack of 9/11 followed by a moment of prayer. That will be followed by a tolling for each of the following three attacks then the reading of the names of all Colorado veterans killed in action since 9/11 in the Global War on Terror," said Rick Crandall, president of the Colorado Freedom Memorial Foundation.
Part of a Twin Tower steel will also be available to view and reflect on.
The special ceremony will be presented by the Colorado Freedom Memorial and City of Aurora along with the Aurora Police and Fire Departments; Military Honor Guard; First Responders and special guests.
