2 people stabbed in Aurora during fight between roommates

Suspect may have taken drugs; taser had no effect

AURORA, Colo. - Two people were stabbed at a home in Aurora Tuesday morning.

It happened at 669 S. Oswego St. shortly after 6:30 a.m., according to Sergeant Chris Amsler with the Aurora Police Department. That is near S. Peoria St. and E. Exposition Ave.

A resident called police to report that he was having an altercation with a roommate, Sgt. Amsler said.

When police arrived they found two people with stab wounds, including the suspect.

The suspect was still armed with the knife, Amsler said.

Officers confronted the suspect and shocked him with a taser when he refused to follow commands. The taser had no effect. Police believe the suspect was under the influence of an unknown intoxicant.

Both people were transported to the hospital and are expected to survive.
