Fourmile Canyon Fire Relief Fund Taking Applications For Help

First Round Of Grants Will Go To Mountain Fire Depts.

Victims of the Fourmile Canyon Fire in Boulder can begin applying for help Monday.

The Community Foundation has raised more than $500,000 in pledges and donations to the Boulder Mountain Fire Relief Fund.

Our goal is to have the dollars from the relief fund in the hands of those who need it before Thanksgiving, said Josie Heath, president of The Community Foundation.

A first round of grants will be made to mountain fire departments on Oct. 9.

Individuals and families affected by the fire will find an application and eligibility criteria on the foundations website Monday, Oct. 4. Completed applications are due by Oct. 25.

KBCO and concert promoters AEG LIVE raised $300,000 from ticket sales to the upcoming Fourmile Canyon Revival concert Oct. 9 at 1st Bank Center in Broomfield. It will feature The String Cheese Incident, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Yonder Mountain String Band and members of Phish and Leftover Salmon.
