A 14-year-old Fort Collins student has died after she was hit while riding her bicycle to school Thursday morning.The death of Urangua "SiSi" Mijiddorj was confirmed Friday morning by Fort Collins police. Police said she died Thursday night.Investigators said a Nissan Pathfinder hit the girl at the intersection of East Drake Road and Iowa Drive at about 6:43 a.m. Thursday, as she was attempting to cross Drake.The wife of the driver, Christopher Christian, said her husband said the girl "came out of nowhere." Christian, 38, was too distraught to talk to a reporter. He was not hurt.Mijiddorj was taken to Medical Center of the Rockies where she was treated for her injuries. That's where she died at 7:25 p.m.Mijiddorj was a freshman at Poudre High School and was in the International Baccalaureate program at the school.Neighbors said the intersection where the accident happened is very busy but it's not known for frequent accidents.One factor being investigated is the sun."We're still doing our interviews and trying to figure out that and certainly that's an objective we're trying to determine -- what was going on with the sun at that time of the morning," said Fort Collins police Sgt. John Holsten.No charges have been filed in the crash.The Fort Collins Police C.R.A.S.H. (Collision Reconstruction and Scene Handling) Team responded to investigate.
