A former member of the Fort Morgan City Council was due in court Friday for sentencing on drug charges.Michael Mese, 36, pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine. He was first charged with possession, attempting to manufacture the drug, and possessing the materials to make meth. Police acted on an anonymous tip in November 2005, and reported finding drug-manufacturing equipment in Mese's garage.It was the second drug-related arrest for Mese. He was convicted on felony drug charges about three years before his election to the council in 2001, but completed probation before taking office. He had acknowledged that conviction during his campaign.
