EATON, Colo. - Eaton Police Chief Randall Jacobson has resigned after more than a decade in the post.

Assistant Town Manager Donald Cadwallader tells the Greeley Tribune that Jacobson was placed on administrative leave in September and was investigated on possible violations of city and police policies. Town administrators have not elaborated on the accusations. A message left at a phone number listed for Jacobson wasn't immediately returned Thursday night.

Police Capt. Arthur Mueller is serving as the interim police chief.
