One person was killed in a three-vehicle crash in the northern part of Aurora Tuesday afternoon.The crash happened on Tower Road at Salida Street, just north of Interstate 70 just after 4 p.m.A car traveling southbound on Tower Road collided with a truck traveling eastbound on Salida Street, according to Aurora Police Sgt. Craig Baumfalk. He said the momentum of the crash propelled them 50 feet where they collided with a car that was in the left turn lane of Tower Road. The truck landed upside down on the front hood of the car waiting to turn left.The driver of the truck was killed in the crash, Baumfalk said. Two teenagers who were passengers in the truck were injured and taken to a local hospital. A person in the car that was struck in the turn lane was also injured and taken to the hospital.Police said the intersection would be closed at least four hours for an accident investigation.
