Developmentally disabled teen sought in Fort Collins

Fort Collins police are asking for the public's help in finding a missing developmentally disabled teenager.

The father of 17-year-old Daniel Patane said he was last seen walking north along Interstate 25 near the Budweiser plant Sunday at about 3:30 p.m. He was wearing a brown blanket patterned with dog faces with a red border like a cape.

His father said Daniel functions at the level of a 6 year old.  He was staying at The Remington House and walked away from the facility which is a residential treatment facility for juveniles with behavioral and emotional issues.

Patane is white, 5-foot 10-inches and weighs 185 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes and was wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and flip-flops when last seen.
