If you work or shop in Cherry Creek, you now have a new place to park your bike when you go.

On Thursday, Denver city and Cherry Creek representatives officially opened the Bike Rack. Run in partnership with Campus Cycles, the facility offers a place for bikers to leave their bikes for free and even changing rooms for people to change into work or shopping attire.

But the place is not just for people who ride bikes.

"This is a place where bicycle commuters, commuters who take transit, who carpool, will be able to get information and find other folks who use the same alternatives that they do," said Allison Billings, executive director of Transportation Solutions.

The facility is open now but Wednesday is Bike to Work Day and more festivities are planned, including free refreshments and door prizes.

The bike rack is on Detroit, between First and Second avenues.
