BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — A 25-year-old woman who is accused of striking and killing a Boulder cyclist while driving drunk has accepted a plea agreement.
The Daily Camera reports that Callie Kuhasz on Thursday pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide in connection to the hit-and-run crash that killed 35-year-old William Davis.
As part of the plea agreement, prosecutors dropped charges of leaving the scene of a crash, DUI and weaving. Prosecutors will recommend Kuhasz be sentenced to between four and 12 years in prison.
According to the Colorado State Patrol, Kuhasz was driving June 25 when she veered three feet into the bicycle lane, colliding with Davis. She then left the scene, but witnesses saw damage done to her vehicle and called police.
