Woman fights off sex assault suspect, man still at-large in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – A sex assault suspect is on the run in Colorado Springs after his potential victim successfully fought him off, but police are now asking for your help to find him.

The attempted sex assault suspect reportedly broke into an apartment in the area of Bayfield Drive and Quail Lake Circle at around 7:13 am. Friday.

He then tried to sexually assault a woman inside, but she fought him off and the suspect fled the area by unknown means, according to Colorado Springs Police Lieutenant Howard Black.

The suspect was described as a white male in his 30s, between 5-foot-11 to 6-feet-tall with short, dirty blonde hair, green eyes and scraggly facial hair. He was also described as being very skinny with a disheveled look.

Police also said he appeared to have long facial features and a gauge in at least one of his ears. He may have scratches or other injuries to his face or body as a result of the struggle with the woman.
