EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. -- A woman who was set on fire and a 14-year-old girl who suffered burns trying to help her were listed in stable condition by El Paso County deputies on Tuesday.
Monica Rascon was listed in critical but stable condition and the 14-year-old girl, who was not identified, was listed in stable condition following the attempted murder on Sunday.
Officers in El Paso County are on the hunt for Consepcion Rascon Jr., 36, who they believe doused a car in a flammable fluid after getting into an argument with a woman inside.
Rascon allegedly then set fire to the car, which had both the woman and a child inside.
An arrest warrant has been issued for two counts of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of second-degree arson, child abuse and domestic violence.
"Our investigation indicates there may be people assisting Rascon in the Stratmoor Hills and Deerfield Hills areas," said an El Paso County Sheriff's Office spokesperson.
If anyone has information as to his whereabouts, do not approach him as he has violent tendencies and immediately contact the Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center at (719) 390-555.
