COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — A judge ruled that three men accused of executing two Colorado Springs high school students will stand trial on first-degree murder charges.

The Gazette reports that the Thursday decision followed three days of preliminary hearings where the judge found the evidence against Diego Chacon, Joseph Rodriguez and Marco Garcia-Bravo warranted a trial in the deaths of 16-year-old Natalie Cano-Partida and 15-year-old Derek Greer.

The three will be held without bond. Authorities say the men are associated with the South Side Soldados gang and abducted the two teenagers in March.

Authorities say they took the victims to a remote area, made them kneel and shot them in an execution manner.

Authorities say the suspects targeted Cano-Partida because the men believed she provided information to gang rivals.
