EDGEWATER, Colo. -- Neighbors ducked their heads early Tuesday morning in the Edgewater neighborhood near 20th Avenue and Fenton.
Police rushed to respond to reports of gunfire, only to find a car crash involving a victim's vehicle and a stolen car. Amid that crash, police say a suspect fired shots.
That prompted neighbors to duck for cover before getting a good look at the suspect, who ditched the gun under the crash and ran from the scene.
Still, officers were able to cultivate a description, releasing it to the public after an initial search turned up nothing. The suspect reportedly is a 6-foot-1 black man who weighs roughly 190 pounds. The man reportedly last wore a light colored shirt with red shorts.
