COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — Police in Colorado Springs say a woman and her toddler were shot by the woman's roommate who then shot and killed himself.
The unidentified man shot the 27-year-old woman in the arm and the 18-month-old in the hand when they were in bed in their apartment early Wednesday. They are expected to recover. Another child in the room wasn't hit.
KKTV-TV reports the shootings came just hours after police were called to the apartment because of a disturbance involving the shooter.
They left because there wasn't enough evidence to charge anyone with a crime.
