DENVER – Police are warning people living in Five Points that a sexually violent predator is living in the area.

Bruce Casey Crispin, 37, is a transient, according to the Denver Police Department, but frequently stays in the area near 29th Street and Brighton Boulevard.

Denver police note that there are seven schools within a mile of the area Crispin usually stays, and more than a dozen parks and recreation centers.

Crispin was convicted of sexual assault on a child in July 1999 and is currently on parole. When he registered as a sex offender on April 17, he put 1900 29th Street down has his address.

Police say he has also been previously charged with sexual assault, theft, harassment, trespassing, domestic violence and assault.

State and local law enforcement agencies are required by Colorado law to notify people when a sexually violent predator moves into their neighborhood.
