DENVER – A man was killed and another person suffered non-life threatening injures following a two-vehicle crash in south Denver Friday evening.
The crash was reported in the area of South Platte River Drive and Santa Fe at around 7 p.m.
The southbound lanes of South River Platte are closed and traffic is being diverted onto Santa Fe, according to a Denver Police Department official.
Police said a car was “stationary” when a second crashed from behind.
It’s not clear why the car was stopped, or if it was stopped at a red light or stalled in the road.
Police do not know if alcohol or drugs were involved in the fatal wreck.
