DENVER – A man accused of attempted murder and assault is wanted by authorities after he failed to show up to court to hear the jury verdict Friday, according to authorities.

Francisco Perez, 28, was found guilty on four counts of attempted first-degree murder, one count of first-degree assault and three counts of attempted first-degree assault for shooting four people in Denver’s Sunnyside neighborhood back in September of 2015.

Perez was out of custody on bond but failed to return to court Friday for his ongoing jury trial which began on November 27, according to Ken Lane, a spokesperson for the Denver District Attorney’s Office.

A warrant was issued for his arrest and the trial continued until late in the afternoon, when the jury returned a guilty verdict.

Authorities say Perez should be considered armed and dangerous. They say Perez may or may not be wearing glasses.

If you see him, do not approach him and instead call 911 or Denver Metro Crime Stoppers at (720) 913-7867.
