ARVADA, Colo. – The man accused of driving drunk and causing a seven-vehicle crash Sunday evening that killed three people has also died, police say.

The Arvada Police Department on Wednesday said Christopher Farr, 43, of Arvada had died three days after the crash, which he was accused of causing.

Lorie Hicks, 59; Judith Peterson, 73; and Alan Peterson, 79, were killed in the crash near 6100 Ward Road just after 6 p.m.

Farr had been driving a Cadillac SUV, allegedly under the influence, when he crashed into a Ford truck, then head-on into a Hyundai SUV that carried the Petersons.

Hicks was a passenger on the motorcycle that was involved in the crash.

Colorado court records show Farr had prior convictions on traffic offenses and a marijuana possession charge.
