DENVER – An Adams County jury convicted a man Thursday of luring a 7-year-old girl to his apartment in July 2016 and sexually assaulting her.
Moises Godoy, 49, was convicted of second-degree kidnapping, aggravated sexual assault on a child, and enticement of a child charges.
Godoy was hanging out at a pool at his apartment complex, and lured the young girl back to his apartment by asking if she wanted to “see his pet duck,” according to the district attorney’s office.
She went along, and once Godoy got her back to his apartment, he sexually assaulted her.
Godoy will be sentenced at 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 26.
