ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. – A girl running on the High Line Canal Trail fought off an attacker Monday night in unincorporated Arapahoe County.
Julie Brooks, a spokeswoman for the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office, said the high-school-aged female was running on the trail just before 7 p.m. between E Florida Avenue and E Iliff Avenue when she was tackled by a man from behind.
Brooks said the girl was able to fight the person off, but was not able to provide an update on her injuries.
She added that there was not enough of a description of the suspect to release one at this time.
