Fugitive Friday: Man convicted of sex assault on a child sought in El Paso County

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. – Colorado authorities continue to look for the state’s No. 19-most wanted sex offender, who has had an active warrant for his arrest for more than a year.

Larry Zachary Romero, 19, has an active warrant for failing to register as a sex offender out of El Paso County. The warrant was issued Nov. 29 of last year.

According to the sheriff’s office and Colorado Bureau of Investigation, Romero has a prior conviction of sex assault on a child.

Romero is described as a white male who is 6 feet tall and 143 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair.

Anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts is asked to call the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office or the Colorado Bureau of Investigation at 303-239-5732.
