DENVER – A man with a history of failing to register as a sex offender, as well as other crimes, is again wanted in Colorado for failing to register.

Anthony Lucas Reed, 23, has had an active warrant out of El Paso County since last year for his failure to register. The state says he was convicted of a sex crime in 2012.

After Reed was charged last April for driving without a license and making an unsafe U-turn in Douglas County, he failed to appear in court, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Another warrant was issued out of El Paso County shortly afterward for his failure to register.

Reed pleaded guilty earlier in 2016 to criminal impersonation, a felony, and was sentenced to three years of probation.

He had a previous sex offender registry violation out of El Paso County dismissed after his 2015 arrest, and he pleaded guilty in 2014 to being in possession of unlawful knives in Denver, according to state court records.

Reed is described as a white male, 6-foot-2 and 200 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. He is the No. 35 most-wanted sex offender in Colorado.

Anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts is asked to call the Colorado Bureau of Investigation at 303-229-5732 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
