EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. – A Colorado man convicted twice of sex offenses against children is wanted by the sheriff’s office and Colorado Bureau of Investigation on two active warrants.

Robert Ryan Austin, 48, was convicted of sex assault on a child – position of trust in 2011 after committing the assault between 2006 and 2007.

He’d previously been convicted of a sex offense against a child in 1990, CBI says, and is now the state's No. 25 most-wanted sex offender.

In October 2012, an El Paso County judge issued a warrant for an escape from felony conviction charge, and days later, another judge issued a warrant for Austin’s failing to register as a sex offender.

Austin is described as a white man who is 5-foot-9 and 200 pounds, with hazel eyes and brown hair.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call CBI at 303-239-5732 or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
