DENVER-- The University of Denver has issued a campus safety alert for a man officials say has a violent criminal history.
The alert for Samson Whittemore, 32, says Whittemore is not affiliated with the school, but that he is wanted in connection with a large amount of graffiti occurring on campus.
"He has a violent criminal history," the alert says.
Whittemore also appears on the Department of Justice's National Sex Offender website.
If you see him, you're asked to call campus safety immediately.
"Do not try to apprehend this individual, just observe and report him," the alert explains.
