CENTENNIAL, Colo. – The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a woman they say shot and killed a 30-year-old man Monday evening.

The victim – identified Tuesday as Adolph Arellano, of Denver – was found around 5 p.m. in a parking lot in the 400 block of East Highline Circle in Centennial. Paramedics rushed Arellano to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Shortly after the shooting, investigators received a tip that the suspect, described as a white female with purple hair, lived in a nearby apartment building.

Deputies and members of a SWAT team surrounded the building and evacuated nearby residents. The apartment, believed to belong to the suspect, was entered late Monday night, but the woman was nowhere to be found. Investigators have not released her identity.

Deputies have not revealed any possible motive for the shooting. However, they don’t believe it was random.

Anyone with information about this crime or the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867).
