LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. – The toddler who died after going missing from her home near Drake Monday drowned in the Big Thompson River, the county coroner said Tuesday.

The coroner identified the girl as Ellie Lynn Pascale-Webb, of Drake. Her cause of accidental death was drowning, with hypothermia being a contributing factor, the coroner said.

The girl’s mother called 911 after noticing the girl was missing and finding their door ajar, a sheriff’s office spokesman told Denver7 Monday.

Pascale-Webb was found unresponsive about 400 yards downriver from the home about 30 minutes after officers were dispatched out. She was given CPR, then taken to the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, where she died, the coroner said Tuesday.

The sheriff’s office said Monday evening the investigation was ongoing.
