UPDATE | The Amber Alert was canceled around 9 p.m. Monday night after the child was found safe. Authorities have not released any other details surrounding the case.

DENVER — An AMBER Alert rang out on the devices of hundreds of thousands of Coloradans on Monday, alerting residents to a kidnapped 3-year-old child and a driver suspected of taking the boy early Monday morning.

Authorities say the child's name is William Lake and they described his appearance as wearing a black and white button up shirt, grey pants and white shoes.

Police described David Kevin Lake, the alleged abductor, as a five-foot-eight white man who reportedly weighs about 150 pounds.

Lake is said to be driving a blue 2003 Toyota Corolla with Colorado plates OBP131. The vehicle and the two people were reportedly last seen in southeast Colorado Springs on Monday morning.

Police say the two could be anywhere in the state. Anybody with information is asked to call 303-239-4211.
