FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Three men arrested in Illinois in August are now being held on first-degree murder charges in connection to the death of a Fort Collins man.

Michael Gresham, Lawrence Greggs and Joshua Baker, all 20 years old and from Cincinnati, Ohio, were arrested by Vermilion County, Illinois authorities on Aug. 27 on unrelated charges.

All three are accused in the murder of Devon Smeltz, 20, of Fort Collins. Smeltz was reported missing by his family on Aug. 26. His body was discovered Saturday in Morgan County.

Larimer County authorities issued warrants Monday in connection to the murder. The three suspects remain in custody in Illinois.
