COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Two teenagers who were sought as part of a larger investigation into a crime spree involving robberies, stolen vehicles, burglaries and attempted murder, were arrested earlier this week in Colorado Springs.

One suspect was identified as Marcus Antwan Elliott, 18. The second suspect, who is 16, was not identified by police because he is a minor, according to our ABC-affiliate station in Colorado Springs, KRDO-TV.

The teens were arrested Monday afternoon thanks to the a team effort by patrol officers, detectives, tactical enforcement and metro vice narcotics units.

KRDO-TV reported the suspects typically used stolen vehicles to commit crimes in El Paso County, Monument and Denver, including an attempted murder from a road-rage case in Colorado Springs.

Police told the TV station the crime spree started after both escaped from custody, adding active arrest warrants to the list of their alleged crimes.

Very little is known about the case, as investigators are still determining if other suspects are involved, KRDO-TV said.

The investigation into the crime spree is still ongoing.
