2 accept plea deals in Colorado Springs killing

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — Two men have pleaded guilty to charges in the death of a 28-year-old woman who was killed in front of her 5-year-old son in her Colorado Springs home.

The Gazette reports that 20-year-old Matthew Robert Moore pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and second-degree burglary in a deal that comes with a possible 60-year prison sentence.

Twenty-one-year-old Michael Ryan Brown pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in a deal coming with a possible prison sentence of 32 to 44 years.

The two were accused in the death of Courtney Beaudette during a home invasion on June 1, 2016.

The case of a third man, 19-year-old Dylan Michael Peters, is still pending.
