A mother and father were found dead in their Rio Grande County home Tuesday and their teenage son was arrested as a suspect in the case.

The bodies of Tracy Aaron Rinebarger, 38, and his wife, Joanne Marlee Rinebarger, 33, were found in their home at 3219 County Road 28 by a family member.

The couple's 14-year-old son was missing and was picked up a few hours later in Park County on unrelated charges. He was driving the family pickup when he was arrested.

After an extensive interview, the unidentified son was arrested on charges related to his parents' deaths. The charges were not released by the Rio Grande Sheriff's Office.

The boy was enrolled as a freshman at Monte Vista High School.

The bodies of his parents were transported to El Paso County for autopsies.
