Another community in Colorado is considering restrictions on pit bulls. On Monday night, a public hearing will be held in Commerce City to discuss the issue.

The ordinance would not ban the breed. Instead, the city wants to establish a registration period for dog owners and to set the amount of homeowner's insurance pit bull owners must carry.

The meeting is set for Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the Commerce City council office on East Parkway Drive.
