Woman threatens husband with gun, arrested along with son in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - A mother was arrested for threatening her husband with a handgun and her teenage son was later arrested for possessing the gun after she gave it to him.

Colorado Springs Officers were sent to an apartment in the 2000 block Carmel Drive to investigate a reported domestic disturbance at 10:15 p.m. Wednesday. According to the police department, they were originally told the woman had threatened her husband with a shotgun.

When the officers arrived, they learned she had threatened her husband a handgun during a verbal argument. The woman then gave the gun to her 16-year-old son to remove from the home.

Officers arrested the woman, identified as Kimla Gordan, 36, for felony menacing, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and possession of a dangerous/illegal weapon.

Her teenage son was arrested for possession of a handgun by a juvenile, providing false information to a police officer and an unrelated warrant.
