Officers stun suspect allegedly smashing his own things while high on 'Molly' in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - After breaking down a door, Colorado Springs police used a stun gun to bring a suspect under control early Friday morning. The man and two others were found to be high on "Molly," a purer version of Ecstasy.

Police say they were sent to the Garden Terrace Apartment Complex on the 4700 Block of Rusina Rd. in response to a reported disturbance at 3:47 a.m. When they arrived, they could hear things being smashed and heard screaming inside an apartment.

The officers forced their way inside and encountered Joshua Barker, 22. He was described in the report as "out of control and breaking his own property within the residence, causing injury to himself."

After he was stunned, the officers found another man and woman who hid in the bathroom when Barker began breaking things.

Barker was charged with obstruction, police said. The other two were not charged with any criminal offenses.
