Driver in carjacked Nissan pickup truck shoots at Colorado Springs Police during chase

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - A handgun-wielding suspect carjacked a pickup truck in Colorado Springs Saturday, only to be caught by police an hour later.

According to CSPD, the suspect took the Nissan pickup truck at the intersection of Murray Boulevard and Galley Road around 8:17 p.m.

The truck was spotted by officers in the area of Hancock Street and Fillmore Street around 9:01 p.m. Officers tried to get it to stop, but the driver refused.

Officers said they used force, a tactical vehicle intervention maneuver, to stop the carjacked pickup and arrest Greigo in the 600 block of North Circle.

Greigo was treated at an area hospital for minor injuries, police said. After being released, he was booked on charges of aggravated robbery and criminal attempted first degree murder of a peace officer.

During the chase, one officer also suffered minor injuries. He was also taken to a hospital for treatment and later released.
