Authorities say a man was shot and killed at a gas station in southern Pueblo County as he accelerated toward state troopers in a stolen vehicle.
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation says troopers pulled the man and his female passenger over near a gas station in Colorado City on Thursday night. The man, whose name has not been released, fled on foot and stole a nearby vehicle.
Troopers with the Colorado State Patrol say the man was shot as he drove toward them. No other information has been released.
The shooting is being investigated by the 10th Judicial District Critical Incident Team, which includes the CBI and the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office.
