37-year-old hiker falls 40 feet to his death in Palmer Lake

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. – A hiker is dead after falling on a trail in Palmer Lake Saturday evening.

The hiker, who has only been identified as a 37-year-old man, fell approximately 40 feet, according the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office told our ABC-affiliate station in Colorado Springs, KRDO-TV.

Deputies told the Colorado Springs Gazette they were calling the man’s death an accident.
