marble, cOLO. - The Colorado Avalanche Information Center is warning large avalanches are still possible after the body of 37-year-old Summit County resident James Lindenblatt was recovered from the backcountry south of Marble.

John Snook said Tuesday even though there is a small probability avalanches will occur, the ones that do break loose can have high consequences.

Lindenblatt was killed in an avalanche on Sunday, but his body was not recovered until Monday.

A team from Crested Butte Search and Rescue used a helicopter to retrieve Lindenblatt's body because avalanche conditions were so dangerous.
