No one was injured when a car driven by a teenage girl crashed into an Aurora 7-Eleven Thursday afternoon, ending up completely inside the store.

Police said the 17-year-old probably became confused and stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake. Three other people were in the car when it went into the store at 13790 East Quincy Avenue just after 5 p.m.

"No alcohol. No drugs. Nothing like that. It could just be a case of driver inexperience," said Sgt. Jad Lanigan with Aurora Police.

Lanigan told 7NEWS that he's never seen a car crash completely into a store before.

Two employees and two customers were inside the store but they weren't injured.

"I was terrified," said Sammy Alnajar, a clerk who was narrowly missed by the car. "This was my last day on the job. I guess I went out with a bang."

Structural engineers from Aurora checked the building for structural damage and deemed the building safe.
