Police say they are targeting the city's busiest intersections on Monday in an effort to cut down on accidents.

The Boulder Daily Camera says the new provisions include a requirement that cyclists and pedestrians use flashing signals before entering crosswalks, an 8 mph speed limit for bicycles in crosswalks and a rule that if one car is stopped at a crosswalk, other cars must stop, too.

Officers said they will start enforcement at some of the 15 more accident-prone spots in Boulder.
