DENVER - Colorado law enforcement agencies have been advised to be on the lookout for suspicious activity following the bombings in Boston.
The statewide alert from the Colorado Information Analysis Center was issued within an hour and half of the bombings Monday that killed at least two and injured 23 others.
Department of Public Safety spokesman Lance Clem says the alert simply provided information to law enforcement based on national media reports.
The Denver Police Department said they are in contact with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and right now there are no known links between the Boston explosions and Denver.
"We do remind citizens that safety is everyone’s responsibility," Denver Police said. "People should be vigilant and if they 'See something, say something.'"
